Q&A’S
We know that there are many questions you may have for us—here, we wanted to answer some of the most important, frequently asked ones. If you have another question, reach out and let us know!
-
When should I RSVP?
Please RSVP online no later than May 24.
-
How hot will it be?
Based on historical averages, we’re expecting the temperature to be around 92º at the beginning of the ceremony, and around 102º at the time of our send-off. We’ll be praying that it’ll be cooler, but preparing for it to be hotter! Additionally, the backyard is entirely grass, with lots of mature trees which should help keep the morning temperatures much more tolerable.
-
How will we stay cool?
We’re taking a variety of measures to help ensure your comfort. We’ll have evaporative coolers, electric fans, sunscreen, handheld fans, cold water, iced beverages, popsicles and cold treats, large shade tents, and a selection of other accommodations to help!
-
Can I wear a hat or sunglasses?
Absolutely! You are more than welcome to wear a hat or sunglasses to our ceremony and reception.
-
Where should I park?
There is ample parking on the street in the neighborhood. We recommend parking on Emerald, 26th, Emelita, or El Moro.
-
How long should I plan for?
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 10am, followed by a time of refreshments, a lunch reception, and our send-off at 1:30pm, leaving you plenty of time to make other afternoon and evening plans!
-
What about the food?
Food is one of our shared love languages. And in our opinion, there’s nothing worse than being hungry at a wedding. We’ll have a variety of pastries, snacks, and drinks available to eat all day (including prior to the ceremony), in addition to our lunch and desserts.
-
I'm coming from out of town, where should I stay?
It just depends on what else you’d like to do with your time in The Valley! June is the low season in Phoenix (shocking), so availability is open, and you can often find great deals on accommodation!
The hotels near Banner Gateway Medical Center at US-60 & Higley Rd are the closest (nice) properties to the wedding.
Only a little bit further, San Tan Village and Downtown Chandler each provide a great selection of restaurants and activities for your stay in town.
And further still, Tempe, Scottsdale, and Phoenix each have fantastic resort options available.
-
While we're in town, where should we eat?
The majority of the things on our list are restaurants, so if you’re looking for a recommendation or two, here are a few we enjoy that are special to us, or some local favorites!
