What to Expect

We’re so excited to have you celebrate our wedding with us! We know that everyone’s wedding looks a little bit different (not *everyone* decides to have an outdoor wedding in the middle of an Arizona summer), so we wanted to give you an idea of exactly what you can expect at our wedding.

The Venue

We are extremely excited and grateful to be getting married in Bekah’s parents’ backyard. It’s always held a special place in Bekah’s heart, and we can’t think of a better place to celebrate our marriage. In order to best enjoy the beauty of the backyard, our ceremony will be taking place in the grass, with some partial tree coverage and a few shade canopies. Please prepare to potentially be seated in direct sunlight for up to thirty minutes, and if you will need a seat in the shade, we recommend arriving early to save your seat. Additionally, there will be many flowers and trees in bloom in the backyard at the time of our wedding. If you suffer from seasonal allergies, you may want to consider taking a dose of your preferred allergy medicine.

The entirety of our reception will also be held outside, underneath large covered tents, which will be climate controlled with evaporative coolers and fans.

Measures for Your Comfort

We want to ensure that all of our guests can remain as comfortable as possible for the day’s celebration. For your comfort, we’ll be preparing things including, but not limited to:

    (Including Water!)

Food and Drink

Food and Drink will be available at all times (including prior to the ceremony), in addition to our lunch.

Parking

Street parking will be available throughout the neighborhood for the wedding. We recommend parking on Emerald Ave., 26th St., Emelita Ave., or El Moro Ave. Feel free to drop off your party at the wedding, and then proceed to find a place to park. We ask that you would be considerate of the neighbors, and be sure not to park in front of driveways or fire hydrants.

Attire

Our wedding is outdoors in June. Please do not consider suits, blazers, long gowns, or heels to be expected. Summer/Beach Wedding attire is entirely appropriate. Feel free to wear sunglasses or a hat!
